Photo History of Hong Kong

Although not exactly arranged in chronological order, the photos capture very valuable scenes of the historical Hong Kong.  Some of the old buildings and streets are still around and we are debating whether we should preserve the remaining few or demolish at full force in the name of progress.

Actually, what makes Hong Kong an interesting place perhaps is such random mix of the old and the new, and the rich and the poor like Manhattan.  If by demolishing the old can help the poor, I have no objection, except that it’s the reverse most of the time…
